Listen To What One Of Our Previous Fibromyalgia Patients Had To Say About Our Results
When I first came to see Dr. Masters at Arkansas Physical Health and Rehab, I was experiencing several symptoms of fibromyalgia, arthritis, and general health decline. These physical symptoms included headaches, flu-like body aches, weakness, severe fatigue, joint and muscle stiffness, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and right knee pain as well as other mental and emotional symptoms. These symptoms had been going on for over a year. A friend and co-worker had seen information that Dr. Masters treated patients with fibromyalgia. She passed along his card, but I was very skeptical. I reluctantly made an appointment for my free consultation. I thought I had nothing to lose. I was in pain somewhere every day, taking maximum doses of Tylenol most days, taking hot baths almost daily to help with the leg pain and cramps, and I was missing work on a regular basis. Some days, I couldn't even stand to get out of bed. At the time, I was under the care of a rheumatologist, who had prescribed muscle relaxers for me to take at bedtime because fibromyalgia was a "sleeping disorder". The medication did help some with the insomnia, but the side effects were almost as bad. I had also been under the care of an orthopedic doctor, who had treated me with arthritis medicine, injections, and physical therapy for my right knee pain, which also had been present for about 18 months.
When I first saw Dr. Masters, I listened to his prescribed plan of treatment, and I was still skeptical, but I felt like I had to give it a try. Everything he said made sense to me, and I was finally glad to have a health professional actually listen to me and take the time to really try to help rather than going through the system as just another chart number and diagnosis. He prescribed a 10 week treatment schedule for me consisting of a combination of chiropractic care, nutritional supplements, detoxification, emotional treatment, and strengthening exercises. I had never been to a chiropractor before, so all of the treatment options were new to me. I still don't understand how some of them work, but I know they do! At the end of my treatment, I can say that 80-90% of my previous symptoms are gone! I have been able to reclaim most of my life, having renewed energy and strength! Everyday tasks that had become difficult for me, I can now perform again.
I cannot say enough good things about Arkansas Physical Health and Rehab. The staff is so friendly and willing to help, and Dr. Masters, in my opinion, is a miracle worker. I would recommend this clinic to anyone especially anyone suffering from fibromyalgia. - Lisa F.
